Equal Opportunity Employer

JD FOOD is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit. We want to have the best available persons in every position. Company policy prohibits unlawful discrimination based on race, color, creed, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, age, national origin, physical handicap, disability, medical condition or ancestry, or any other consideration made unlawful by federal, state, or local laws. All such discrimination is unlawful.

JD FOOD is committed to complying with all applicable laws providing equal employment opportunities to individuals regardless of race, color, creed, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, age, national origin, ancestry, physical handicap, disability, medical condition except where physical fitness is a valid occupational qualification, or any other consideration made unlawful by federal, state or local laws. This commitment applies to all persons involved in the operations of the Company and prohibits unlawful discrimination by any employee of the company, including supervisors and co-workers.

To comply with applicable laws ensuring equal employment opportunities to qualified individuals with a disability, the Company will make reasonable accommodations for the known physical or mental limitations of an otherwise qualified individual with a disability who is an applicant or an employee, unless hardship would result.

Any applicant or employee who requires an accommodation in order to perform the essential functions of the job should contact their manager and request such accommodation. The individual with the disability should specify what accommodation he or she needs to perform the job.

Pre-Employment Physical/Drug Screen

All prospective employees will be given a pre-employment physical as well as tests for the presence of illegal drugs and uncontrolled substances.

These tests will be done by an independent medical facility, which has been approved by the employer. These pre-employment screening tests will be taken as a condition of employment at JD FOOD.

In the event that the independent medical facility cannot provide results of such tests to JD FOOD prior to the scheduled reporting time of the employee, it is understood that the employee will be considered a probationary employee until such time as the results from the tests are known to JD FOOD. Further, failure to pass the physical or the presence of one or more of those drugs will be cause for rejection for employment. Refusal to submit to the screening tests will constitute voluntary withdrawal of application for employment. Retesting under this paragraph may be allowed at the sole discretion of JD FOOD, and at the expense of the prospective employee.
